With a shortening injury list and a good win against the Brisbane Lions last week, Ken Hinkley has sought to retain a stable lineup against the Power's crosstown rival.
It comes as Adelaide's coach Brenton Sanderson revealed his side was sweating on the fitness of several players leading into the game.
"We're probably in a reasonably healthy position; I suppose we're a little bit opposite to the Crows," Hinkley said during Friday's coaches' press conference.
"We'll certainly be interested to see what they (Adelaide) do when they get to the game.
"More importantly for us it's about the 22 (players) that we're going to pick.
"We'll hold one player over (as an emergency)."
Earlier Hinkley told portadelaidefc.com.au he was expecting a tough challenge from an unpredictable Adelaide which seems likely to enjoy the return of star midfielder Patrick Dangerfield.
"They've had some tough games over the last few weeks and been right in them right up until the end," said Hinkley.
"Let's not forget they beat a really good side in Geelong only a few weeks ago.
"For us it's just going to be another really hard work day and hopefully we can do enough to come out on top."
Port Adelaide takes on the Crows at AAMI Stadium at 2:45pm on Sunday.
