SENIOR COACH Ken Hinkley has revealed defender Nathan Blee will replace Paul Stewart when Port Adelaide plays the Cats on Saturday afternoon.

Blee, 22, made his AFL debut in Round 20 last year and will play his first game for the Power in 2013 in the corresponding match this weekend.

"We will only make the one change and we'll give an opportunity to 'Bleesy," said Hinkley.

"(He's) been right around the mark for a long period of time - five or six weeks - and it would be good to see him have a game of football.

"We get an opportunity to see another young player get out there."

Blee's debut came against Hawthorn and he will be reintroduced to AFL football against another competition leader in Geelong.

Often played through the midfield at aligned SANFL club North Adelaide, Hinkley said Blee will offer his coaching panel flexibility against the Cats.

"In a way I think it's part of the good part about him, he is quite flexible," said Hinkley.

"He's got good speed for a 192cm player, he can kick the ball well.

"We're playing Geelong with their key forwards, he's going to be handy for us to chop out down there (in defence) with some of their talls.

"He'll come into the side mainly as a defender but he'll certainly spend time through the middle of the ground and I wouldn't rule out that he'd spend time in the forward line."
