Stevenson was impressive for the Redlegs as a defender who capitalised on deficiencies in the Bulldogs' attack and provided strong rebound and supply inside 50.
Development coach Stuart Cochrane praised Stevenson's best effort at SANFL level this year.
"Lewy was good – a relatively easy day for him defensively as the Dogs were poor up forward and he didn’t need to work too hard to prevent his opponents from getting the ball," Cochrane told portadelaidefc.com.au.
"It was his sweeping across half-back and offensive work that were the best parts of his game.
"He was running hard to get used, looked confident in congestion and got and used plenty of footy well."
While Cochrane felt Matt Thomas didn't have his usual impact for Norwood, he was still pleased with his ability to find and use the ball.
"Matty was OK, not as dominant as he’s been though and he had a couple of quieter quarters," said Cochrane.
"There was lots of crashing into packs as usual but only four clearances.
"His spread from stoppages was OK and his ball use was pretty good and he kicked a late goal off the ground.
"So it was still a decent performance from Matty."
Darren Pfeiffer continued his recent good form with a solid showing that capped off a good game for all the Power-listed players in the Norwood side.
"Pfeiff was also pretty lively. He played at half-forward, kicked a couple of goals and got used on the transition a few times," said Cochrane.
"He showed good pressure inside 50 too.
"The three Redlegs boys were pretty good all-round."
NORTH ADELAIDE v GLENELG at Prospect Oval
Player | D | M | T | HO | Cl | I50 | R50 | G.B |
Blee | 26 | 3 | 1 | - | 2 | 4 | 4 | - |
D. Stewart | 11 | 4 | 1 | 2 | 1 | 2 | - | 1.3 |
Clurey | 21 | 11 | 3 | - | 3 | - | 4 | - |
Bottom-placed Glenelg scored a decisive, upset win over finals-bound North Adelaide at Prospect Oval, with three Power players lining up during the game.
Nathan Blee played for the home side after two weeks in the AFL and had a solid uncontested game, but Cochrane wants to see more defensive impact from the hard-runner.
“Bleesy played at half back, on a wing and was used as a spare man down back in the final term," said Cochrane.
“He had a decent uncontested game and ran with the ball a couple of times, but we’d like to see him try to take the game on a bit more and have a bit more influence down back.”
Daniel Stewart couldn't find the same good form from the previous week after kicking just 1.3 in front of goals.
"Snowy didn’t have the same influence as he did last week," said Cochrane.
"He probably didn’t make the most of his chances in a few contests and in his shots on goal, he could only manage 1.3."
Tom Clurey seems to have recaptured some of his good mid-season form with a solid showing for Glenelg.
Cochrane was excited by his ball use and defensive work for the Bays.
"Tommy got involved a lot late in the game when the Bays were playing keepings off," he said.
"He used the ball well when he got it and also left his man a couple of times to have a go at other contests.
"A bit more cleaner use of the footy is something we’ll look for from him, but his defensive work was really good and he’s growing in confidence."

Ben Newton was once again Port Adelaide's best AFL player at the Magpies.
Development manager Daniel Healy described his performance as strong and tough, having won 21 touches and kicking two goals.
"Newts was the standout again among the guys at the Maggies – really tough, good in close and winning contests," Healy told portadelaidefc.com.au.
"He kicked another goal from another long run - two in total - and him and Sammy Gray were the best for the Magpies by far."
Brendon Ah Chee had 15 touches again but struggled to have an impact at stoppages, according to Healy.
"Ah Chee had another in-and-out game, he didn’t have the impact we want at stoppages but he’ll continue to work on that," Healy said.
Rookies Justin Hoskin and Danny Butcher continue to chip away in search of their form from earlier in the year.
Healy was particularly happy to see Butcher's return to his trademark toughness in the reserves game.
"Danny had a really good first quarter but was quieter after that," said Healy.
"He was tough and ran hard in the first half though and has certainly been better these past few weeks.
"Hosko got a call back to the league team and played wing, half-back and on-ball.
"He's chipping away but still not quite at the level we want him to be."

Only Mason Shaw featured for the Panthers this week and lined up in the reserves again.
Healy was pleased with the young forward's hard work around the ground, despite a return of just three behinds.
"It was a pretty good game from Mason, especially in the first half," said Healy.
"He presented and marked well but his goal kicking was disappointing when you consider the hard work he puts in."
