The club will play its first SANFL League game on home soil for the 2014 season on Sunday and in doing so begins a new journey as a fully unified football community, with all of the club's AFL-listed players to run out for the Magpies when uninjured and not selected in the Power lineup.
The game against old rivals Glenelg will double as a special past players' day, with previous stars from the 1950s through to the present day to attend a pre-match function before seeing the next generation of Magpies duke it out with the Academy game at 11:25am and the League match at 2:10pm.
Port Adelaide has also begun the process of revitalising Alberton Oval by naming the three entry gates, both ends of the ground and the eastern wing after its playing greats.
Supporters will see the Russell Ebert Gate (Queen Street), Bob McLean Gate (Brougham Place) and Geof Motley Gate (Seventh Avenue) when they arrive at the ground on Sunday and will be able to watch the game from either the Tim Evans or Scott Hodges Ends, or the John Cahill Wing.
The newly named locations around the ground are additional to the already named Fos Williams Family Stand and Robert B. Quinn MM Grandstand.
Plaques detailing the successful records of each player will be erected in the coming weeks.

Tim Evans End (northern end) - Evans is the goals record-holder for the club (1044 goals) six-time SANFL leading goalkicker and a 10-time club leading goalkicker
Scott Hodges End (southern end) - Hodges is a Magarey Medallist, most goals in a season record holder, second-most goals for the club (693), eight-time premiership player, double best and fairest
John Cahill End (eastern wing) - Cahill is a 10-time premiership coach, former captain, four-time best and fairest and the club's inaugural AFL coach
