Former John Cahill Medallist and one-time All-Australian Chad Wingard has ranked 36th in the AFL Players’ Top 50 for 2015.

The rankings, published throughout this week on AFL.com.au, have been informed by a survey run in conjunction with the AFL Players’ Association.

Every AFL player was quizzed in the survey, with 105 players receiving a vote.

Wingard was previously rated at 34th on the rankings and highly regarded for his ability to kick multiple goals and stand up in big moments.

His quieter 2014 campaign was nonetheless studded with key performances, including a four-goal against the Crows in Round 2, five goals and mark of the year nomination against Fremantle in Round 8 followed by a 30-disposal effort against the Bulldogs in Round 14.

His four-goal effort against the Dockers in the first semi final was crucial in helping the Power over the line and into a prelim final berth.

The 21-year-old is the only Port Adelaide player to rate in the 50-31 bracket of this season’s poll.
