POWER vice-captain Brad Ebert will fly to Melbourne for the AFL captain’s media call on Wednesday after Travis Boak was advised to stay grounded.

Boak took a knock to the hip at training on Tuesday and has been advised to stay in Adelaide instead of attending the annual season's eve interview of captains.

Ebert will join the league’s other captains for the photo shoot and media call in Melbourne.

The hip complaint is not expected to keep Boak out of the Power's opening round game against Fremantle.
