PORT ADELAIDE will join with its opponents this ANZAC weekend by running through joint commemorative banners before the start of each of its games.
On Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval, the Power and Hawks will come together in solidarity by running through a black banner.
The banner will also feature the Australian flag, the RSL’s iconic ANZAC badge and logos of both clubs.
Power players will don special commemorative guernseys for the blockbuster clash, in homage of the servicemen and women who have served Australia in war.
In the SANFL grand final replay on Friday night, the Magpies will run through a banner with the Redlegs, which will be coloured black and navy blue to represent each club.
The Magpies and Redlegs will also wear commemorative heritage guernseys, like those each wore in 1915, as a symbol of respect.
The joint banners are symbolic of the unity Australians share in honouring service people, past and present, on the ANZAC centenary.
