Peter Jackson Player of the Week

Karl Amon

Another very solid performance by Karl. Worked really hard all four quarters and is showing he can win contested and uncontested possessions.

Mitch Harvey

Not the best night for tall forwards but Mitch showed he can compete in the wet conditions and was quite good at ground level with the slippery ball.

Steven Summerton

Summo continues to provide a contest for us and uses the ball well when he gets it. Clashed heads with Tom Logan and had to wear the blood headband but even that did not stop him from trying to will his team over the line.

Robbie Young

First game for season 2015. I felt he really tried to compete, run and chase for us. He will be better for the run and I like the way he is developing his game.

Anthony Biemans

Like Robbie, Biemer was in for his first match for 2015. He provided us with an extra big body and some tough contests around the ground.

Tom Logan

Not one of Tom’s best games but I can never knock his competitive qualities. He again provided us with genuine contests and his usual leadership.

Tom Clurey

A bit of a different challenge for Cluzza this week having an opportunity to play through the midfield. Lots of stoppages gave him lots of looks at it and I was quite happy with his contests in and around the footy.

John Butcher

John really tried hard in the poor conditions. Needs to take his opportunities in front of goal, but I was happy with his chasing and pressure inside attacking 50.

Sam Russell

Not big numbers this week, but a consistent effort with his defensive work. Looks to be settling into this role and provide some run and carry at the right times.

Cam O’Shea

A little below the level in what Cam can play at, but there were a couple of contests that I was very pleased with that he just put his body on the line for the team.

Louis Sharrad

I thought Louie was one of our better contributors on the night, he gave us a strong contest in and around the footy and continually harassed the opposition.

Sam Gray

Really big numbers for Sam this week. Worked hard over the course of the game and the wet conditions really suited his style with chasing, tackling and winning the ball around stoppages.

Paul Stewart

Stewy was concussed early in the game, he'll be in the mix to play the Eagles this week.

Darcy Byrne-Jones

Not his best performance but tried hard to nullify the small dangerous forwards of Norwood. Just needs to be consistent with his aggression week-to-week.

Luke Wilson

His second league game was probably his toughest, up against his old club and wet slippery conditions. Luke just needs to keep pressuring the opposition and use the ball efficiently when he can.

Logan Austin

Kept a very good forward to no goals this week. Logan is defending very well and enjoying a challenge weekly. He is very composed and uses the ball very well out of defence for us.

Sam Colquhoun

It was not Sam’s night unfortunately. He needs to lock in this week and get his job done either in defence or offence.

Jarred Redden

Battled really hard for four quarters against a very strong opponent in Baulderstone. Took a big catch forward early and should gain some confidence with his body being able to consistently compete longer in games.

Jesse Palmer

Jesse started the game really well, nice snap on goal in the first quarter but just needs to continually push hard for a four-quarter effort.

Johann Wagner

Did not really impact this week. As stated earlier, it was not a night for tall forwards, but what Wags can do is chase and harass the opposition more.

Mason Shaw

First game back for Mason who has been out with injury for some time, looked up-and-about early and provided a couple of strong contests inside-50, but once the weather came in it was tough going for both clubs forwards.
