Gray - The little master. Whilst he isn't getting the high numbers of goals he got in 2014, his work in the midfield has somehow improved once again. His clearance work is near enough unstoppable. He gets his hands on the ball so often at the stoppages its just amazing his ability to read the play, to either a winning or losing tap. Was able to distribute nicely and get the ball forward and kicked a goal for his troubles. Can hold his head high.
Cornes - I'll miss Kane. Super consistent right to the end and he goes out arguably playing his best game for the year in his finale. Kept Cotchin completely out of the play - only 6 touches to half time - and picked up plenty of the ball himself. A great finish to an absolutely superb career and his retirement will leave a hole in the side that will be hard to fill. Well played Kane.
Hombsch - Kept Griffiths out of the play for much of the first half before seemingly playing more of a loose role after half time and relished that freedom. Was marking everything in sight, finding space to create an option on the spread and used the ball well. Is a very fine footballer and that was his game of the season to date.
Monfries - I just love the way Gus plays when we are under the pump. He may have some critics around the place but one thing you can always rely on is that he stands up when the team is struggling. He leaves everything on the park and does all he can to lift his team mates. Kicked 2 crucial goals during the 2nd and 3rd term but we couldn't grow on that. Having a good year.
Wingard - Like Gus, there is not much more he can do to lift the team. Yes he missed that sitter in the 2nd quarter but once again he showed his consistency. 20 touches and 2 goals yet again. He is definitely back to his AA best and is ever dangerous across that half forward line. Seems to be relishing some more time further up the field.
