Peter Jackson Player of the Week
Aaron Young
Very solid performance on the back of being a travelling emergency in Alice Springs. Came back, prepared well and played his role well for the team in the midfield.
Power players
Jake Neade
Started the match exceptionally well and gave good energy and speed around the forward 50. Was rewarded for his efforts with three goals.
Mitch Harvey
Massive impact as a stay-at-home forward in the first half. Marked just about everything that came his way and gave the team a real target to kick to inside 50.
Steven Summerton
Continues to be in good form, used the ball really well and is providing the team with good defensive numbers.
Tom Logan
Did a fantastic job down back cutting off the ball movement from Glenelg throughout the day. Provided some good run from defence and made better decisions this week.
Jonathon Ross
Very solid performance as a forward/ruck combination with Reddo. Looks to work hard and play his role for the team when he gets his chance.
Kane Mitchell
Did a good job in our midfield this week, worked hard in the trying conditions and always looks to give us run and energy across four quarters.
Sam Russell
Very good up until half time on Bailey but then copped a knock which slightly hurt his ability to carry out his role fully.
Louis Sharrad
Very consistent again, worked hard in and around the midfield and at ground level. Enjoys the battle each week and gives plenty of encouragement to the boys.
Robbie Young
Very lively again this week Robbie, certainly brings great speed and defensive pressure to the opposition when he plays.
Andrew Moore
Like Youngy, he did his job well in the midfield. Moorey was very strong in the contest, clean at times and would like to see him finish with a goal or two.
Darcy Byrne-Jones
Not as much impact this week for Darcy, but he still looked to get going with his run at times and attack from defence. Just needs to keep chipping away and maintain consistency with each performance.
Sam Colquhoun
Like so many others this week Sam’s impact on the game was down a little. At times he read the play well and showed how creative he his with the ball in his hands. I was very pleased with four tackles and his attitude to team defence.
Mason Shaw
Like Darcy struggled to impact on the game although he took one courageous mark late that did help us stop the oppo from possibly winning the game.
Cam O’Shea
Great battle over four quarters with Alleway. Learning to play key position as well as play on the small to medium types as well. I felt he played strong and contested well against a very good opponent.
Jarred Redden
Continues to battle hard in the ruck for the mids. Dominated the hitouts and provided our midfield with first opportunity on many occasions.
Jesse Palmer
Was into the game early this week with good contests at ground level. Jesse looks to have really settled into this team and this level of footy.
Sid Masters
Another solid performance in defence for us. Sid is learning a lot each week and definitely taking good steps forward with his footy.
Ben Sawford
Always good to have Sawf back into the team, like that he always plays his role well and works hard over four quarters.
Johann Wagner
Really good energy and defensive pressure in the game for Wags. Has really shown great improvement in his attack on the ball and the opposition and has also shown great composure when he gets the ball in his hands.
Anthony Biemans
Did not have as much impact in this week’s game but you know that there is always 100% effort. We just need to settle him into one position but he is such a vital player for us due to his flexibility.
