ONLY the pre-match withdrawal of Jay Schulz with a back problem has blotted the Power’s Round 20 victory over the GWS Giants.

Schulz was replaced after being unable to ‘come up’ in the warm-up from a back niggle that had dogged him leading up to the game.

He was replaced in the selected side by John Butcher.

The Power’s head of high performance Darren Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au after the game that he would be among several players reviewed at training.

“The call [to take Schulz out of the game] happened in the warm-up, he was carrying it during the week, but we gave him every chance, but it just didn’t come up,” Burgess said.

While the Power got through Saturday afternoon mostly unscathed, there will be several assessments on the slate coming out of Friday night’s SANFL win.

Andrew Moore was forced out of that game after hurting his foot against the Tigers, while Mason Shaw’s ankle gave him grief leading up to the game.

Both will be reviewed at training during the week.

Matt White was substituted from the game as part of his management following a long out with a hamstring injury.
