FOOTY blogger and Power fan Craig McKay picks his top five from Saturday night's game against Gold Coast.
Hamish Hartlett
Great game by Hammer. One of his best of the season. Seems to love playing in the wet, so he can get down and dirty, use his body and strength to get the ball forward. Was able to find a lot of space on the outside and whilst his disposal efficiency was only 59%, I thought he used it better than that stat suggests. Found a lot of the ball on the wing and getting it into the forward lines. He's had an underrated year, Hammer. A lull patch in the middle of the season, but outside of that he's barely played a poor game in some time now.

Wow, he just keeps on going! Was that a better game than his match against the Hawks? Arguably yes. Certainly relished the more contested conditions. 10 clearances, 19 contested possessions, eight inside 50s, 37 disposals! He is now backing it up week after week, in different conditions and against different strengths of opponent. It's great to see a player who, five weeks ago, many maybe didn't see much of a future at the club, to turn his career around and show that he can be a hard working, high intensity, important player going forward. Can't wait to see what he can do next year.
REVIEW: Power by 37 at Metricon

Cool as ice out there. I wasn't sure what to expect tonight when it came to Nathan. Would some of his former teammates maybe target him a bit? Would he cop some physical attention? That didn't eventuate and in the end, he was such an important player across half back. Zoned off perfectly all night and found fields of space to sit back, pick his target and hit them time after time. Not only that, he had some real important one-on-one wins, especially through the second half. Probably his best game for the year.
MVP: Vote for your best

I've been a big fan of Karl's since he came to the club and I was stoked he was able to put in that sort of performance tonight. I think many questioned some aspects of his game after his previous match against Collingwood. I don't think many could question his attack at the ball tonight. Went in hard, laid a number of good tackles, won his own ball and he's just so clever around the goals. I've called him a mini-Chad in the past and tonight he showed glimpses of that. If he can put that sort of performance together on a regular basis next year then we have a very important player on our hands.

Just got in the way defensively all night. Relished his loose role tonight and thought he was one of the real keys in us getting a break on Gold Coast. Used it well and even a lot of his chaos balls were coming off. One bad kick out of the full, but even that was impressive, getting it into the second tier of the grandstand!
