ALL this week on portadelaidefc.com.au, we'll examine Port Adelaide's possible All-Australian contenders - starting with No. 1, skipper Travis Boak.

Boak will have a serious chance of making it three consecutive All-Australian nods in 2015, with the skipper's numbers matching up well with each of his past two seasons.

MRP: Boak to foot melee fines?

A solid start to the season, Boak's form hit top gear in Round 4 when he won the Peter Badcoe VC Medal with a 30-disposal effort against the Hawks followed by 33 touches and a goal against the Crows in our Round 5 Showdown win.

When he hasn't been able to impact offensively, his defensive pressure has been strong, highlighted by 11 tackles against the Eagles in a Round 6 loss. His tackles per game number has jumped from 3.8 in 2014 to 5.2 in 2015.

While his disposals per game figure is slightly down in 2015 (25.5 compared with 26.8 in 2014), his numbers are very comparable with his first All-Australian year in 2013.

Jarman's marriage proposal

Who he'll be competing with?
The midfield is one of the hardest spots to crack in the All-Australian team. Expect tough competition from the likes of Andrew Gaff (West Coast), Scott Pendlebury (Collingwood) and David Mundy (Fremantle), along with the locks in the team like Nat Fyfe (Fremantle) and Dan Hannebury (Sydney)

Why he should make the team?
Has been outstanding again in a team that hasn't reached the heights many expected. Three consecutive years of incredibly consistent form will no doubt be a factor in the selector's minds.
