SIX players will undergo surgery over the next seven days to address body troubles from the 2015 season.

Travis Boak had a shoulder arthroscopy on Tuesday and will be out of action for three weeks.

Rookie Nathan Krakouer will have a similar operation later this week.

Jack Hombsch (hip), Hamish Hartlett (ankle) and Angus Monfries (foot) will also have surgery that will keep them off their feet for a period of time, however Power head of high performance Darren Burgess says all should be fine to resume pre-season training in November.

“It’s just the wear and tear of the season and Jack Hombsch probably has the longest rehab of the lot – he’ll be out for 4-6 weeks,” Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au.

“Boaky had his done today, that went fine, and the rest will happen over the coming days.”

Burgess says the group of players who either had surgery in-season or are in longer term rehabilitation should hit the track in November as well.

“Guys like Jackson [Trengove], Bobby [Carlile] and Ollie Wines should be back in time for pre-season,” he said.

“Jared Polec is back running now as well.”

Mason Shaw will also require groin surgery after being ruled out for the rest of Port Adelaide’s SANFL finals campaign on Monday.
