MIDFIELDER Kane Mitchell has won the 3km time trial as the Power returned to pre-season training in stifling conditions at the Uni Loop.

Defender Tom Clurey and midfielder Sam Colquhoun rounded out the top three of the Power's first to fourth-year players. New recruit Jimmy Toumpas finished just outside the Top 5 behind Ollie Wines.

The 5+ year players will return to training on Monday 23 November.

Mitchell, 25, was delisted last month, but the club has committed to re-drafting him in the rookie draft later this year.

Chad Wingard wasn't at training, having been caught in Bali because of volcanic ash.
