Steven Summerton
Poor game by his standards. His kicking and decision making which is usually a strength was off, on the night. I know he’ll bounce back this week.
Kane Mitchell
His pressure around the footy was good, but looking for him to be more consistent throughout the game.
Karl Amon
Reasonable effort. Applied good pressure around the ball. Is a great kick - looking to get better results from this.
Dougal Howard
Really liking his effort over the last month. Competed hard in the ruck and in the air around the ground. Finished with three goals.
Jimmy Toumpas
Worked hard all night, gave us good spread and provided exits for us.
Aaron Young
Effort and contest work on the night was good. A few poor skill and decision-making errors are something for him to work on.
Logan Austin
Although his man kicked five goals, I liked his effort and aggression on the night. Some good aerial contests.
Darcy Byrne-Jones
A solid game. Was good one-on-one and like his run-and-carry when he has the ball.
Sid Masters
Sid had an interrupted pre-season, so will be better for the run on Thursday. There’s a lot of upside in Sid’s game.
Tom Corcoran
It was Tommy’s first game and he got better as it went on. A few turnovers early but I’m sure he’ll learn a lot from the experience.
Cameron Hewett
Another first-gamer whose effort is good. Will obviously get better the more games he plays.
Aidyn Johnson
Will eventually be an elite forward pressure player for us. He needs to work on staying in the game and being more consistent with his effort.
Paul Stewart
Is leading the way playing Port Adelaide team footy. We used him in a number of positions and he was effective in all of them.
Cam O’Shea
A mixed bag from Cam. Did some really nice things, but also some poor things that cost us goals.
John Butcher
Disappointed with his game. Looking for him to compete and be a real focal point for us - he didn’t give us that on the night.
Louis Sharrad
Louis’s effort and toughness was great - used the ball well too. His issue was giving away stupid free kicks that hurt the team.
Jonathon Ross
Rossy’s effort competing in the ruck was good, also like the way he attacks the ball in the air around the ground. Too many sloppy free kicks against him.
Jesse Palmer
Jesse was another who competed really well on the night and has done so all throughout the pre-season.
Tom Gray
Will be a good player for us going forward but didn’t have an impact on this game. Need a bigger influence around the stoppages.
Sam Colquhoun
A courageous effort in the air early on was the highlight of his game. He had very minimal impact after that - we need more from him.
