PORT Adelaide vice-captain Hamish Hartlett is in doubt for Saturday's Showdown with Adelaide after experiencing hamstring tightness following training on Wednesday.
Hartlett is likely to be named in the Power's squad on Thursday ahead of Saturday's clash at Adelaide Oval.
But teammate Justin Westhoff told 5AA on Wednesday night that Hartlett would need to pass a fitness test on Friday before being cleared to face the Crows.
"I think he just pulled up a little bit tight from training this morning," Westhoff said.
"He's had a history of that kind of thing, a bit of trouble with his hammies and things like that.
"But I think the club will just take no risks and see how he pulls up later in the week. He'll definitely be named to play and I think we'll just reassess later in the week with him.
"We definitely want him in the team. He is a big part of side, obviously the vice-captain, so he'll hopefully be right to play."
Port Adelaide has already lost speedster Matt White after he ruptured his right pectoral muscle in Sunday's win over St Kilda.
White is set to have surgery and will miss up to three months.
Former Melbourne midfielder Jimmy Toumpas is a chance to make his debut for Port Adelaide in the Showdown, while Karl Amon and Aaron Young are also in the frame given the doubt surrounding Hartlett.
