portadelaidefc.com.au takes a look at who’s in the mix to play in the Power’s Saturday night clash against Richmond at the MCG.

Port Adelaide

With Jackson Trengove suspended and Chad Wingard a chance to miss due to a delayed concussion, the Power could face two forced changes.

Jared Polec and Brendon Ah Chee had a spell in the SANFL this week after being omitted from the Power’s Round 5 team, and both worked hard to prove themselves for an AFL recall.

Polec had 28 touches and seven clearances, while Brendon Ah Chee laid seven tackles and collected 22 disposals, also being named in portadelaidefc.com.au’s best. Both could feature on the Power’s team list this week.

Off the back of two disappointing losses, Ken Hinkley could be looking to reach into the Port Adelaide stocks for some fresh talent.

Sam Colquhoun and John Butcher are yet to play AFL football in 2016, but the midfielder and key forward are also building strong cases for a crack at the top side.

Colquhoun is in solid form with 25 touches and 12 marks for the Magpies this week, while Butcher is also having a consistent season in the SANFL and could come in for Chad Wingard up forward if he is ruled out to injury.

Richmond

A number of changes could be made to the Richmond side that went down to the Dees by 33 points.

All-Australian defender Alex Rance has been suspended for two weeks after striking Jack Watts, ruling him out of Saturday night’s clash.

Other news from the Tiger camp is that veteran player Brett Deledio will make a return from a quad injury against the Power this Saturday night.

Football manager Dan Richardson said the utility would be available for selection this week.

“We didn’t want to take the risk with him last week, but he’ll train fully this week and we expect to see him play his first game of the season this weekend,” he said.

Ruckman Shaun Hampson is also in the mix after overcoming a corked quad.

Key forward Jack Riewoldt is a 50/50 chance to play after suffering an ankle mishap during the final term of the Tigers’ clash with Melbourne.
