Brad Ebert
On the win
“It was a really good effort and we’re really excited about the fact that we got that four quarter effort. Last week we talked about it as well and to string two games together is really exciting…hopefully we’ll build on that momentum.
On what worked
“We wanted to tighten up in a few areas. I think that through the midfield we were going off the body a little bit and really making sure that we’re having that fierce contest on the inside, and we were able to get some territory. The forward line pressure was something we really strived ourselves on and after quarter time I thought it was really good.
On Jacko in the ruck
“We talked about Jacko coming in and really just making sure to contest hard, and I think that’s probably one thing since Lobbes has gone out of the side – we haven’t had a player who’s that stock standard ruckman, as such. So really it comes down to him competing hard and being able to hunt around at ground level as well – and he was able to do that brilliantly.”

Ongoing back to basics
“It’s as simple as 22 players playing their team roles. We went back to basics – we’ve got the same game plan, it’s just making sure everyone recognises what they need to do, so it’s pretty simple really. Obviously you’ve got to play hard, tough footy.”
On self belief
“You lose a couple of games in a row and things get said, you do get down a little bit – but all it takes is a couple of wins to prove that what you’re doing does work, as the last two weeks have shown. You get a little bit of confidence from that.”
On a four-quarter performance
“We knew that if we just hung on, did what we did last week, worked hard around the stoppages and setup defensively, that’d we’d probably end up grinding out the result we wanted.”
Charlie Dixon
On the ruck combination
“Jacko was unreal all night, it was a great team performance and we’re very happy with the win. It’s always good [for me] when Jacko’s getting it done, because then I can stay in the forward line which is always good! I love seeing him run out through the middle with the footy in his hands and drilling it long.”
On how they've developed
“We’ve worked on our entries into the forward 50, with a bit more method, with lower kicks and a bit more infront – not so much on the head. With the boys getting it done in the middle and being able to have clean air up forward, it helps us enormously.
“We need to keep putting our head over the ball, win the contested footy and get it forward.”
