Hamish Hartlett is a tough player. We know that.
He’s so tough that he’ll take on concrete.
Before this humble portadelaidefc.com.au reporter’s very eyes last Saturday, the mid-defender suddenly broke into a terrifying pre-game routine.
Apparently, having missed the Power’s final pre-game warmup, where he usually grapples with Travis Boak like this:
Hartlett improvised by throwing his body into a large concrete pillar in the centre of the Power’s changerooms.
Needless to say, those of us fortunate enough to bear witness to this impromtu burst of testosterone and adrenaline-fuelled madness looked something like this:
It’s a case of ‘seeing is believing’, but it certainly explains why Hartlett is one of the toughest players on Port’s list.
