A PORT ADELAIDE larrikin legend has gotten into Showdown spirit this week and put up a commemorative plaque to the birthplace of the Crows.
Of course, as most Port fans will tell you, it wasn't at West Lakes where the Crows were born thanks to SANFL decision-makers in 1990, but the Supreme Court where other clubs took legal action to prevent Port Adelaide entering a team in the AFL for 1991.
It's very much the basis for the Showdown rivalry, that has seen some of the AFL's great games battled out over the last 20 years.
According to a photo shared by Channel Nine journalist Vicki Schwarz, the sign just appeared outside of the Supreme Court building today, saying 'The Crows were born in this building in October 1990'.

It's not the first time mysterious, Port fans (or at least someone who doesn't like the Crows) have done this, just last year some comedians plastered over the famous Crows Corner on Port Road with some much better branding.
Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, we're told the sign is still up...
Port Adelaide plays the Crows at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday 6 August at 4.10pm ACST.
