PORT ADELAIDE Magpies skipper Steven Summerton has retained his spot in the 2018 West End State League Squad to take on a West Australian Football League side next week.
Summerton has previously represented South Australia on three occasions and was vice-captain in 2016 when SA beat a VFL side at Adelaide Oval.
The three-time Magpies Best and Fairest reached 200 league games last season and continues to lead the side with distinction.
The state squad was trimmed to 29 players ahead of the game on Saturday week.
Others to be named include former Magpies Robbie Young, Jake Johansen, and Justin Hoskin along with former Power players Sam Colquhoun and Marlon Motlop.
The West End state game will be played at Adelaide Oval on Saturday, May 12, as a curtain-raiser to the Showdown between Port Adelaide and Adelaide.
