HAWTHORN speedster Jarman Impey says he’ll speak with some of his former Port Adelaide teammates ahead of the sides’ meeting on Saturday, but he will steer clear of trash talk.

Impey said he had settled well in Melbourne and was enjoying working under coach Alistair Clarkson.

Impey was part of the Port Adelaide team which beat the Hawks by 51 points when the sides last met in Round 11 last season.
The Power booted six first-quarter goals at Adelaide Oval and kept the Hawks goalless for the entire first half.
Impey had 14 disposals and two goals in that match.
“Hawthorn’s just played some good football over the last five years or so and I know when I was with Port we’d always look forward to playing against Hawthorn because they were really good – they were the benchmark.
“We always brought our A-game.
“Looking at the stats we played the majority (of games) in Adelaide and this weekend we’re in Tassie where we’ve had a good record so far so we’re looking forward to that.”
