AS Port Adelaide prepares to face Fremantle at Perth’s Optus Stadium in Round 17 of the 2018 AFL season, portadelaidefc.com.au looks back on the last time the sides met.
It was Round 1 this season and a new-look Port Adelaide was looking to kick off its season in the perfect fashion against a Fremantle side that nobody really knew what to expect from.
The Power side featured new recruits Dom Barry, Jack Watts, Steven Motlop and Tom Rockliff as well as five-gamer Riley Bonner but it showed they all had a role to play.
