PORT ADELAIDE defender Dan Houston has signed a three-year contract extension which will see him remain at Alberton until the end of 2022.
Selected at pick 45 in the 2016 Rookie Draft, Houston, 21, has played 39 games since debuting in 2017.
The reliable backman played all 22 games in 2018 and won both the Gavin Wanganeen Award as the best player under 21 and the Coaches’ Award as the most improved player.
His contract extension comes after he was rewarded for his consistency last month when he was upgraded to the senior list.
“It was an easy decision for me to sign on,” Houston said.
“I’m really settled in Adelaide, I’ve got a lot of good friends here and Port Adelaide has made me feel welcome from day one.
