But Shanghai is about more than just the game.
Shanghai is a metropolis of energy with plenty of things to see and do.
The cosmopolitan and cultural hub, complete with amazing restaurants, exciting bars and intriguing temples also harbours some of the best shopping you’ll find anywhere in the world, with a mix of vintage shops, designer outlets and bustling markets.
While it is a busy city, and has the world’s second tallest building (including the world’s highest observation deck on the 118th floor), Shanghai is so much more than just a towering skyline.
Check out the riverside Bund and People’s Square, Shanghai’s markets and Yuyuan Gardens in the Old City or immerse yourself in arts and culture in the M50 art complex.
The family will love Shanghai Disneyland or if you don’t have one, the Shanghai nightlife is dynamic and exciting.
And if you are going to travel to China, it would be remiss of you to not incorporate a side trip to Beijing and on to the Great Wall of China, with flights and train travel available.
