Big-bodied defender Tom Clurey is a reliable and experienced operator down back. Having often been tasked with standing the opposition’s most dangerous tall forward, Clurey is known for his strength and habit of gluing himself to his opponent.
With huge pressure for backline spots, compounded by a back injury, Clurey did not see as much time on the park than he would have liked in 2023 and 2024, managing just one senior game during that period.
At the conclusion of the 2024 season, Clurey decided to seek other opportunities to extend his playing career, bringing his time at Port Adelaide to a close.

The Port Adelaide Football Club acknowledges the land on which we train and play, are based on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. We respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We also acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of Australia and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living people today.
