TRAVIS Boak has finished the 2021 home and away season in style, securing the fans’ vote as their MG MVP in the Power’s thrilling two-point win over the Western Bulldogs.
Boak was instrumental all night and when Port Adelaide needed a spark the former skipper rose to the occasion, kicking two crucial goals in the final half of the game.
The 33-year-old had arguably his best game for the year recording season-highs of 31 disposals, 18 kicks, five marks and 126 AFL Fantasy points.
Claiming the maximum five votes cements Boak in second position on the Fans MG MVP leaderboard as the minor round draws to an end.
Midfield bull Ollie Wines finished runner-up in this week’s fan vote, but claims the overall season honours polling a total of 71 votes across 23 Rounds.
Wines finished Friday night with a game-high 34 disposals, nine tackles, seven intercepts, five score involvements, four clearances and a goal.
Rounding out the votes were Robbie Gray (3rd), Scott Lycett (4th) and Connor Rozee (5th).
Port Adelaide now power on into the AFL Finals series, hosting Geelong in the second Qualifying Final at Adelaide Oval on Friday night.
