MITCH GEORGIADES could be available to face Geelong in Friday night’s Qualifying Final at Adelaide Oval after pulling up well following the weekend’s thrilling win over the Western Bulldogs.
The teenager was subbed out in the third quarter of the two-point victory after feeling soreness in his left hamstring.
Georgiades will have his fitness tested at training as the week progresses to determine his availability to tackle the Cats.
Fellow forward Orazio Fantasia is also on track to be available for selection after missing Friday night’s game with a tight hamstring.
He is expected to train as normal on Wednesday.
There is also good news for a couple of defenders with Hamish Hartlett and Lachie Jones expected to return from injury this week.
Hartlett had a knee arthroscopy a fortnight ago and continues to build his training, putting him in the mix to play this week, while Jones underwent a procedure to repair a syndesmosis tear late last month and has returned to full training with the main group as he eyes a return to the field this weekend.
Port Adelaide will on Thursday evening name its side for Friday night’s Qualifying Final.
