The Port Adelaide Football Club welcomes the State Government’s gesture for a State Funeral to be held at Alberton Oval to farewell Russell Ebert.
Port Adelaide chief executive Matthew Richardson thanked the State Government for their gesture.
“On behalf of the Ebert family, we thank Premier Marshall and the State Government for their offer of a State Funeral for Russell,” Mr Richardson said.
“It will be a privilege to host the State Funeral here at Alberton Oval, the home of the Port Adelaide Football Club and the place where Russell created so many unforgettable memories.”
The State Government will announce further details regarding the day and time as well as capacity at Alberton Oval in the coming days.
