THE Power’s David Rodan and Alipate Carlile and West Coast young gun Nic Naitanui need your help!

The three Fijians are in full swing preparing for the “David Rodan Cup” - a Fijian school boys’ round robin AFL competition being held in Suva on October 23 - and they’re looking for any form of footy donations to help make the competition a success.

So if you’ve got a spare Sherrin, perhaps a footy jumper or even a pair of socks, shorts or boots that you could donate, the boys would be extremely thankful. Any donations need to be dropped off at reception at the Allan Scott Power Headquarters at Alberton by 5pm on Tuesday October 5.

D-Rod and Bobby will then take the donations over to Fiji so that the locals are able to use them in training sessions leading up to and during the “David Rodan Cup”.

Your donations will play a huge part in the overall goal for a “Fiji Power” team to compete in December’s Oceania Cup in Tonga, as well as the ultimate ambition of fielding the first ever Fijian senior team in the International Cup to be held in Melbourne next August.

If you want to contact D-Rod with any questions, you can contct him via e-mail at aflfiji@hotmail.com. You can also stay up to date with all the Fijian AFL news by becoming a fan of AFL Fiji on Facebook

The boys are also attempting to raise funds through an auction of three of their match-worn guernseys - signed and framed. All money raised will go to AFL Fiji. You can bid by clicking on the image below.
