HAWTHORN captain Luke Hodge has accepted the two-match ban offered to him by the AFL Match Review Panel for engaging in rough conduct on Port Adelaide's Chad Wingard.
The charge resulted from an incident in the third term where Hodge was seen to bump Wingard into the behind post at the Power's scoring end.
Hodge's bump was adjudged to be careless conduct with medium impact to Wingard's head.
Had he contested the charge at the Tribunal, Hodge would have risked a three-match ban if unsuccessful.
He will be available to play in the first week of Hawthorn's finals campaign.
