THE PORT ADELAIDE Football Club has launched a special membership for serving and former Australian Defence Force personnel.
Current ADF personnel and veterans will receive a discounted sign on price, giving them $45 off an adult six-game membership.
The special membership will include entry to six games at Adelaide Oval, a membership pack featuring an exclusive ADF lanyard and membership card and 10 per cent off merchandise at the Port Store, online or at gameday retail venues.
“We have a strong relationship with the ADF, from players representing our club who served, education programs delivered to the Defence community and our strategic partnership with the ADF Aussie Rules Association,” said Port Adelaide’s Head of Membership and Ticketing, Leonie Way.
“Our unique membership offering for military personnel is a small way for our club to thank the Defence Community for all they have done and continue to do.”
The first ADF membership was purchased by ex-Australian Army Artillery Officer Brendan Hardman, who last year helped the club set up a new program helping ADF personnel transition back into civilian life.
He said he was honoured to have the first of the special memberships.
“Port Adelaide Football Club has had a long-standing relationship with the Defence Force and has been an incredible support for me since I left the military in 2016,” Mr Hardman said.
“I was honoured to be able to purchase the first ADF membership and support the club in this initiative.
“The club has a number of current initiatives in place that support the ADF community including the launch of the PAFC Veterans Program in 2021, which aims to support ADF members transitioning from the military.
“I cannot wait for the season to begin so that I can support the club and build relationships with my fellow Port Adelaide ADF members.”
