HE says it’s not back by popular demand, but Port Adelaide legend Tim Ginever is jumping back on stage at the Fringe to tell the rest of his footy stories.
Timmy G: Same Same, But Different, is Ginever’s 2017 Adelaide Fringe show and gives the triple premiership captain the chance to spin some more of his favourite yarns in front of a live audience.
“I’m sure people would love to know which player lost the plot when our USA footy trip plane lost fuel at 30,000 feet, or how we escaped from a Bangkok nightclub when the owner locked us in,” Ginever said.
“Or there’s the time one bloke’s Bali Belly caused horrific scenes on a mini bus, or my new favourite ‘Timmy G versus Vegas’ from 2016.”
Featuring a game show-style segment and the infamous Ginever guitar, it’s the perfect show for a diehard Port fan or anyone who loves remembering stories from SANFL footy in the 1980s and 1990s.
“If it doesn’t go well, at least I’m used to getting heckled from people on the outer,” Ginever laughed.
“I love travel and this will be a chance to retell a few stories of footy trips and personal adventures, which should go down a treat.”
