PORT Adelaide's caretaker coach Garry Hocking says he thinks star midfielder Travis Boak will stay at Alberton in 2013 and beyond.
Hocking, who took over as coach before last weekend's match against Hawthorn at Aurora Stadium, said he was unable to fault Boak's approach around the club this season.
"From what I've seen over the year, he's 100 per cent behind the playing group," Hocking told SEN's Morning Glory program.
"Even over the last few weeks, when things have got a bit tougher, he's certainly dug in as a player.
"He's been here early for training. His voice and direction out on the track and during games has been outstanding.
"I'm really getting the feeling that he could stay."

Boak had a team-high 32 disposals and was named among Port Adelaide's best players in its 72-point loss to the Hawks.
Hocking revealed that he'd tweaked the Power's game plan before the match.
He asked his players to kick forward rather than across or backwards.
He also asked his players to play on more quickly.
"It caught Hawthorn that we played on a bit quicker," Hocking said. "It put them on the back foot a little bit.
"And our attack and aggression at the ball was outstanding."
The Power's tactical tweaks helped them towards a 13-point lead at quarter-time.
Hawthorn then took control before clearing out to a victory that placed them fourth with 14 wins.
The Power are 14th with five wins.
Hocking said the Power have shown improvement by winning more games than last season. In 2011 they finished 16th with three wins.
They have matches with West Coast, the Brisbane Lions and Richmond to try to further improve their record.
Hocking said he'd assess his tasks over the remainder of the season to see whether he wanted to continue to coach.
