IN: Dumont, Jonas
OUT: Duursma, Frederick
PORT ADELAIDE captain Tom Jonas will return for his side’s Sir Doug Nicholls Round game against the Cats in Geelong.
Jonas missed the win over North Melbourne last week while isolating under the AFL’s health and safety protocols, but has been named for Saturday’s trip to Kardinia Park.
Midfielder Trent Dumont has been named on a wing after also sitting out the game against his former side under the protocols.
He had previously played five consecutive games in Port Adelaide’s AFL side.
His return means Xavier Duursma has been omitted while young defender Martin Frederick drops out to make way for his skipper.
Both Duursma and Frederick remain among the emergencies, alongside forward Ollie Lord and midfielder Taj Schofield who are untried at AFL level.
The medical substitute will be named from among that list an hour before the bounce.
The game at GMHBA Stadium in Geelong gets underway from 1:45pm AEST / 1:15pm ACST.
Port Adelaide will wear a special guernsey designed by defender Lachie Jones in partnership with his aunt Madeliene Dirdi as part of the Sir Doug Nicholls Round celebrations, which will continue when the club hosts Essendon at Adelaide Oval on Sunday week.
