SYDNEY's 2014 club champion is expected to play on Saturday night despite suffering a heavy knock in a collision with teammate Lance Franklin last weekend.
Parker clashed with Franklin in the Swans' come-from-behind win over Essendon at ANZ Stadium on Saturday.
Sydney coach John Longmire says Parker still needs to be cleared by club doctors, despite suffering no ill effects from the incident.
“He’s fine, he’s inside the club and says he feels fine. He said he had a great night’s sleep last night and feels great, so we’ll see how the week pans out,” Longmire said.
“As always those things are left for the doctors, we let them make those decisions.”
Teammates Jarrad McVeigh and Ben McGlynn will face fitness tests at training as they push for a recall this weekend.
“Both expect to train this week, both trained on the weekend and trained hard and well. We’ll see how they go,’’ Longmire said.
“We were probably a bit conservative with Jarrad based upon a couple of calf injuries he had during the pre-season.”
