Port Adelaide’s Erin Phillips had an arthroscopy on her left knee on Thursday, in preparation for the upcoming NAB AFLW season.
The procedure was a routine clean-up of a lateral meniscus injury that was troubling her during the last AFLW season.
Initially planned for late April, the procedure had to be delayed due to health and safety protocols, followed by a planned family trip abroad in the off-season.
The timeframe for Phillips to resume training will become clearer in the coming weeks.
The Port Adelaide AFLW team is scheduled to begin pre-season training on Wednesday 15 June.
