IN: Boak, McKenzie, Motlop
OUT: Butters (knee), Byrne-Jones (H&S protocols), Clurey (H&S protocols), Teakle (collarbone)
PORT ADELAIDE will welcome back valuable experience for Sunday’s big game against the Gold Coast with former captain Travis Boak joining Trent McKenzie and Steven Motlop in the side.
Boak missed last week’s win over Sydney but comes straight back into the side after clearing the AFL’s health and safety protocols.
Former Sun McKenzie will face his former side, playing his first AFL game since Round 3 after knee surgery and a mandatory rest period under the concussion guidelines.
Forward Motlop also returns after a week in the SANFL. Motlop had 29 disposals, seven clearances and two goals against Norwood last week, to push his claims for an AFL recall.
Last week’s medical substitute Xavier Duursma has retained his spot in the line-up, named on the interchange bench.
Injuries to Zak Butters and Brynn Teakle see them drop out of the side, while defenders Tom Clurey and Darcy Byrne-Jones will miss under the AFL’s health and safety protocols.
Wingman Miles Bergman, midfielders Taj Schofield and Sam Mayes and defender Jase Burgoyne have been named as emergencies.
The medical substitute will be named from among the list of emergencies an hour before the first bounce.
Sunday afternoon’s game at Adelaide Oval gets underway from 3:40pm ACST with free entry for children under the age of 15 with tickets registered at Ticketek.
