ELLA Boag and Tessa Doumanis will make their AFLW debuts this Friday, with Port Adelaide set to take on the Adelaide Crows in the first women’s Showdown.

Half-forward Jade De Melo also comes into the side after missing Round Five for personal reasons.

Boag, a speedy winger, possesses a high level of competitiveness around the ground and has shown continuous improvement at training and match simulation.

The 18-year-old was taken by Port Adelaide as South Australia’s fourth pick at the AFLW Draft ahead of Season Seven.

Forward Doumanis is a well-balanced player and good ball user who was spotted by the Power while playing for Claremont in the WAFL.

The former basketballer has shown exceptional promise since making the switch to footy five years ago and after spending five weeks as emergency, the 22-year-old is ready to hit the ground running.

Midfielder Jacqui Yorston and defender Indy Tahau will both reach a milestone this week when they play their 25th AFLW match.

Sachi Syme, Jade Halfpenny and Lily Johnson have been named emergencies for Round Six.

Showdown I at Adelaide Oval begins at 7:30pm ACST and will be shown live on Channel 7, Fox Footy, Kayo and womens.afl.
