TEENAGE defender Litonya Cockatoo-Motlap has been selected to make her AFLW debut against Hawthorn this Saturday night.
Known for her defensive pressure and tackling ferocity, Litonya has been pushing hard for selection since recovering from a broken finger sustained during pre-season.
The 19-year-old relocated to Adelaide from Cairns alongside twin sister Laquoiya earlier this year after receiving an AFLW contract for Season Seven.
Part of a famous footballing family, Litonya will follow in the footsteps of her uncles Che, Donald and David Cockatoo-Collins, who all played at AFL level.
Sachi Syme and Jade Halfpenny also return to the side, while Sarah Goodwin, Yasmin Duursma and Lily Johnson have all been named emergencies.
The Power will be looking to break expansion team Hawthorn’s two-game winning streak on Saturday at Skybus Stadium.
The clash starts at 6:40pm (ACDT) and will be shown live on Foxy Footy, Kayo and womens.afl.
