Now, there's a damn good chance Travis Boak is going to play out a long and prosperous career.

Hell, he might even go into a coaching or employment career at Port Adelaide.

But even the most diehard Port/Boak fans would admit any player remaining a contracted to the age of 41 with a unprecedented 11-year-deal, is a little bit of a stretch.

Travis actually signed a one-year contract extension, that will tie him to the club until the end of 2019 - just after his 31st birthday.

Even though it's going to be one year, Boak admitted he'll be feeling pretty old by the time that contract comes up for consideration in his announcement press conference.
