Cheyenne Hammond will undergo ankle surgery on Monday to correct an issue she has been experiencing throughout the AFLW season.
The defender will have her superior peroneal retinaculum repaired - a loop of soft tissue holding the peroneal tendon in place at the lateral ankle. A timeframe for recovery will become clearer following the procedure.
Key forward Gemma Houghton was a late withdrawal from Port Adelaide's Round 10 clash against Essendon due to a quad strain.
Houghton's quad is now recovering well, while Yasmin Duursma and Maggie MacLachlan are also continuing their rehabilitation.
