IT'S been the centre of Port Adelaide supporter culture for half a century and now The Port Club is preparing for its most exciting upgrade yet.
The upgrade is scheduled for completion by the club's Bushfire Appeal and intra-club match on Friday 27 Febraury.
The club's general manager of licenced operations Dave Banner says the upgrade will give the entire venue a fresh new look.
"You'll see lots of club colours and iconic photos from our history all over the place," Banner said.
"It's long overdue, and will make The Port Club a more modern and exciting venue for supporters and the community to be proud of.
"There are many supporters who probably haven't been to The Port Club before, so it will be great to have new faces come down for the complete Port Adelaide experience.
"We've also updated the 1870 Steakhouse menu and brought back the salad and vegetable bar, so by the end of the month you'll be able to visit a new-look Port Club and enjoy being close to the footy club as well.
"We can't wait!"
The Port Club remains open for business throughout the renovations, with Talking Footy on Thursday nights and all profits directed back into the Port Adelaide Football Club.
