PORT ADELAIDE will prepare for the 2023 AFL Premiership Season by taking on West Coast and Fremantle in pre-season games in Western Australia.

The club will first play the Eagles in a scratch match at Mineral Resources Park at Lathlain on Friday 24 Feb, then remain in Perth to face the Dockers at Fremantle Oval six days later.

Both games will be played as twilight fixtures, but given the time difference, the start time will be 7:10pm ACDT for the match against West Coast and 6:40pm ACDT for the official pre-season game against Fremantle.

Under an agreement between the clubs, the first game will be played across six periods with the first four played as flat 28-minute terms with two 20-minute periods to follow.

The second game will be played under normal AFL rules and conditions.
