PORT ADELAIDE will host its annual Internal Trial on Friday the 17th of February at Alberton Oval.
It will be the first chance for members and supporters to check out their 2023 squad in full match simulation ahead of the AFL season.
Due to construction works at the club’s home base, capacity will be strictly limited to 3,000 fans.
To manage capacity, tickets will be pre-sold online at a price of $5 – with all proceeds to be split amongst club charity partners Variety and Foodbank’s SA Floods food relief.
Junior admission (aged 14 and under) is free, but will still need to redeem a ticket for entry.
Port Adelaide members will get first access to tickets, with an email to be sent out next week including ticket on-sale details.
The Precinct at Alberton will only be open to those who have a match day ticket from 4pm until the conclusion of the game. There will also be food and drinks available around the ground and roaming face painters for the kids.
Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to meet their favourite players, with a signing session to occur post-match over the boundary fence.
CEO Matthew Richardson thanks members for their understanding of the capacity restrictions at Alberton Oval, and is looking forward to being able to return to full capacity next year.
“With the re-development currently progressing at Alberton Oval, the eastern side of the oval is a construction site, and the western side has limitations due to our operating needs so capacity is significantly reduced for this year’s traditional Internal Trial match." Mr. Richardson said.
"It’s one of our favourite days of the year and we look forward to being back to full capacity for 2024, but this year maximum capacity will be 3,000”.
