Jasper Pittard put his hand up for his first game of the 2018 AFL Season with his performance in Port Adelaide’s SANFL draw against the Eagles.
Pittard had 28 disposals, seven marks and two tackles to go with seven rebound 50s and one inside 50.
It was an impressive return to the field from a hamstring injury suffered in pre-season.
Jimmy Toumpas, Jack Trengove and Joe Atley also performed strongly for the Magpies, racking up 29, 22 and 22 disposals respectively during the low-scoring hard-fought encounter.
Lindsay Thomas booted two goals to go with 14 possessions, four tackles and three marks, doing his chances no harm after he was an unused AFL emergency against Brisbane.
Dom Barry is also pushing for an AFL recall after having 19 touches in his first match in Magpies colours.
