PORT ADELAIDE's members and supporters have raised almost $10,000 for Foodbank and Variety – the Children’s Charity – by purchasing tickets to the intraclub hitout last Friday night.

With an almost sell-out crowd lining the stands of Alberton Oval, proceeds from the $5 tickets were donated to two club charity partners, Foodbank and Variety – the Children’s Charity, in support of their important work in the local community.

Foodbank will use their equal share of the donation to help fund their Flood Relief appeal, following the charities appointment by the State Government as the primary provider of food relief for impacted Riverland communities.

The organisations Flood Relief campaign is centred around ensuring essential supplies and support are efficiently provided to Riverland residents, with 100% of the funds donated used to get food and water to the those who need it most.

Variety – the Children’s Charity will use their share to continue to fund their incredible work supporting kids and families who are facing challenges through sickness, disadvantage or living with disability.

With a core focus on ensuring kids have access to gain mobility, to socialise in the community, to communicate and achieve independence, Variety make sure that the kids who currently miss out, can join in.
