PORT ADELAIDE will take a strong line-up into its SANFL pre-season trial game against North Adelaide on Saturday.

Forward/ruckman Jeremy Finlayson will play his first game of 2023 following syndesmosis repair surgery last month while Josh Sinn and Trent Dumont have also been included following respective hamstring and calf injuries that have restricted them during the pre-season.

It will be a tall line-up with Finlayson to be joined in the side by rucks Sam Hayes, Brynn Teakle and Dante Visentini alongside tall forward Ollie Lord and key defender Tom Clurey.

The game will see draftees Tom McCallum, Tom Scully and Kyle Marshall pull on the black and white bars for the first time.

Given the overall health of the AFL list, only seven SANFL-contracted players are among the 24-man squad.

AFL emergencies Riley Bonner, Jase Burgoyne, Francis Evans and Jed McEntee could also be included if not required for Saturday’s AFL season opener against Brisbane.

The Roosters have included former Port Adelaide player Sam Mayes in their named side.

The game against last year’s SANFL runners-up at Thebarton Oval gets underway from 11am with free admission for supporters.
