The Port Adelaide Football Club advises ruckman Brent Renouf will miss at least one week on the injury list with a knee complaint.

Renouf was omitted from Port Adelaide’s senior side and has suffered from knee soreness since.

Port Adelaide’s high performance manager Darren Burgess says the decision has been made to ensure Renouf can contribute to the side throughout the remainder of the year.

“He’s had some knee soreness after the game against North and in training sessions following it,” said Burgess.

“It’s nothing particularly dramatic, he’s not a long-term out, he doesn’t need surgery, but its probably enough to keep him out for at least a week.

“We’re mindful that he had a pretty bad knee injury previously and we’re going to manage his load, but we expect him to be training within the next week and playing shortly after.”

Port Adelaide will continue to monitor Renouf’s injury with further information to come in next week's injury report.
